You have to write 2 exams to obtain your Generic Flight Dispatcher Licence: Meteorology and Flight Operations respectively. The exams are multiple choice.
The TC exams are FREE to write and can be completed at any Transport Canada Examination Centre convenient for you. During the course we will guide you on the entire process of booking and writing, so you are comfortable and ready before you attempt the exams.
The exams are usually written a few days after the course, at your own convenience, after some self-study and review.
The one closest to us in Toronto is at the Ontario Regional Office – 4900 Yonge Street.
BOOKING PROCEDURE
1. Appointments are booked via email, on a first-come-first-served basis. It is highly recommended to contact them as far ahead as possible, as Transport Canada does require 1-2 months advance notice. Below are the emails for different Transport Canada regions.

2. In your email, mention that you want to book a slot for the Flight Dispatcher Exams – Meteorology and/or Flight Operations, respectively. They usally are booked on separate days and we suggest keeping them a few days apart. It is your preference which one you want to do first and you can always change that later on arrival. NOTE: It is possible to write them on the same day if you choose to write the first exam at 830am and the second 1230pm.
3. They may ask you for your 6-digit Transport Canada ID (if you have written a TC Exam before). If you don’t have one, simply say this is your first time and they will create one for you. Please attach Photo ID for this as well (Driver’s Licence or Passport)
